Meet Socks – Our Guest Welcome Officer 🐾
Every good chambre d’hôtes needs someone in charge of welcoming guests.
At Le Clos de Leuc, that important responsibility belongs to Socks, our official Guest Welcome Officer.
Socks is extremely cute, highly photogenic and, judging by the comments from our guests, already one of the most popular members of the team.
His duties include keeping an eye on arrivals, inspecting the terrace and garden, supervising village life and, whenever appropriate, offering guests a friendly welcome.
He takes his responsibilities very seriously — although he can occasionally be distracted by interesting smells, the possibility of a walk or the prospect of a treat.

Part of the Le Clos de Leuc welcome
One of the things we love about running Le Clos de Leuc is meeting people from all over France and further afield.
We want our guests to feel that they are staying in a welcoming home rather than an anonymous hotel, and Socks is very much part of that atmosphere.
Some guests become friends with him immediately. Others prefer to admire him from a distance, which is absolutely fine too. We always make sure everyone feels comfortable.
You may meet Socks during your stay
You might spot him relaxing in the garden, supervising activity around the house or appearing at precisely the right moment when somebody produces a camera.
Socks has discovered that being photographed is apparently an important part of his job description.
So when you arrive at Le Clos de Leuc, don’t be surprised if one of the first members of the team you meet has four paws and a wagging tail.
We look forward to welcoming you to Leuc — and Socks does too. 🐾
